Klein Collins kept rolling toward a rematch with The Woodlands on Tuesday, beating Huntsville 50-24 at Hornet Gym.

Krissa Hartley scored 15 points for the Tigers, who upped their District 14-5A mark to 8-1 and ran their overall record to 18-7.

Huntsville fell to 2-8 in district and 6-19 overall.

The Tigers jumped on top 11-4 in the first quarter. They outscored Huntsville 14-8 in the second period.

By the end of the third, Klein Collins had pulled away, 36-17. The Lady Hornets cut into the Tigers’ lead early in the final period, but a 10-0 run by Klein Collins put the game on ice.

Jaleesa Thomas led HHS with nine points. Chantal Betts added five points, Nicole White scored four, while Bre’Neka O’Bryant and Scottie Ward had two points apiece.

The Lady Hornets are off Friday; they play at Klein on Jan. 17.

Klein Collins has three more games before its Jan. 27 meeting with The Woodlands, which is unbeaten in district play.
