Helen Beatrice Ripkowski, 93, passed away Dec. 29, 2006, in New Waverly. Mrs. Ripkowski was born Nov. 17, 1913, in New Waverly to Walton L. and Rosa Lee Kmucik Gregory. Mrs. Ripkowski was a lifelong member of the St. Joseph Holy Rosary Society, serving as president for 14 years. Helen is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Ripkowski; and many brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Dennis Ripkowski, and grandsons, Aaron, Andrew and Adam Ripkowski. Also serving are Norman and Frances Gregory, brother and wife; Paul Gregory, brother; Lucille and Steve Koronka, sister and husband; Charles and Florence Gregory, brother and wife; and sister, Sybil Lucker.
Visitation for Mrs. Ripkowski will be throughout the day Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, with a prayer vigil and rosary to be conducted at 7 p.m. that evening at Huntsville Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services for Mrs. Ripkowski will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Waverly, with Father Daokim Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow at Elmina Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are James Mature, Aaron Ripkowski, Andrew Ripkowski, Adam Ripkowski, Joey Slott and Dennis Ripkowski.
