Adolph Bothe Jr., 74, of Huntsville passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, in Huntsville. Private memorial services will be held by the family. Mr. Bothe was born in Brenham, Texas, on March 22, 1933, to Adolph Joe Bothe and Alma (Schulze) Bothe. He was raised in Brenham and graduated from Brenham High School. In 1951 he joined the U.S. Navy serving in Korea during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1955. After the war he worked as an auto mechanic. He retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 1996 as a correctional officer with 10 years of service. He was a member of First Methodist Church in Madisonville and the Huntsville Master Gardeners. He and his wife Gracie loved to travel.

He is survived by his wife, Gracie Patterson of Huntsville; daughter, Gloria Hebeler and husband Jerry of San Diego, Calif. and their 3 children (triplets) Colin, Aaron, Meghann; daughter, Carol Ransom of Denver, Colo. and her 2 children, Karisa and Gwen Ransom; 1 great-granddaughter; stepdaughter, Joy Gannaway and husband Mark Perry of San Antonio and their daughter, Jessica Gannaway; sister, Irene Meyer and husband Frank of Houston; sister-in-law, Betty Bray of Richmond, Vir.; 2 brothers-in-law, David Gladden and wife Mary of Huntsville, Robert Gladden and wife Shirley of San Antonio; nephews, Kenny Bray and wife Kyla of Huntsville, Chris Gladden of Huntsville, Charles and James Muchow, both of Houston.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Odyssey Hospice, Dr. N. Khan, Nurse Norma Perez and the nursing staff (3-E) at Huntsville Memorial Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
