Huntsville and Walker County officials are searching for two men in connection with a aggravated robbery/shooting in Trinity.

Around 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, Huntsville and Walker County officials were on the lookout for a vehicle with two men wanted by Trinity Police Department officials for a robbery.

“We had a victim by the name of Vanard Murray, a 38-year-old black male who lives in Trinity,” reported Lynn Gentry, Trinity Police Chief. “Murray came home and found two black males in his residence. They tried to rob him and shot him in the backside.

“The suspects took his 2004 green Dodge pickup truck and left in that,” Gentry added. “Huntsville Police Department did locate the vehicle and saw the men running. That’s all we know.”
