Do you have what it takes to be the next Huntsville Superstar?

Registration is now open for the premier singing contest series, which has become one of the premier talent competitions across Texas.

“Huntsville Superstar is a singing contest, similar to the Voice and American Idol, with one major difference, we welcome all participants who wish to enter,” event organizer Paul Shiver said.

Competitors will be competing for a $2,500 cash prize, a recording opportunity and the title of “Huntsville Superstar 2019.”

Huntsville Superstar launched in the summer of 2007, with the talent contest series taking place over four shows, spread out over four months. All four shows will take place at the Old Town Theatre in Huntsville, 1023 12th Street.

The audition show is scheduled for July 20, with the first round of the competition on August 17, the second round of Sept. 21 and the finals on Oct. 19.

“Though there are no age limits. the competition will be serious,” Shiver said. “Contestants of all ages will sing and perform live on stage, at the Old Town Theatre, in an attempt to dazzle both a live and online (voting) audience, along with an esteemed panel of judges.”
