Huntsville ISD has plans for NORMAL OPERATIONS on Wednesday, October 17. The district is aware that some areas have been impacted by the flooding more than others. We have identified routes with roads that are closed or unsafe for bus travel, similar to today, which prevents transportation service for those areas. We would like to stress to families, if their home or road is in one of the flooded areas and is currently impassable, to please not take any unnecessary risks getting to school.
Campuses will work with students who arrive late or incur absences due to flooding with appropriate PARENT NOTE to document their situation. Safety is our first priority, so we ask everyone to use caution and exercise their best judgement.
The district will continue to monitor conditions and notify parents as soon as possible should there be any changes to our current plans.
