Fried Turkeys For Christmas
The Huntsville Knights of Columbus will be frying Turkeys for Christmas dinner on Dec. 22 and 23 for pick-up on those same days. The price for a 12- to 16-pound Turkey is $35. If one would like a Turkey for Christmas, The Knights must have your order by Saturday, Dec. 11, but ordering early is urged. For more information, call (936)577-0988.
Christmas Tree Sale
Boy Scout Troop 98 is selling live Christmas trees through Sunday, Dec. 19, or until all trees are sold. The trees will be sold at Brookshire Brothers on 11th Street and Normal Park, Monday through Saturday until 8:30 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 7 p.m. Trees are selling for prices ranging from $20 to $85, with all proceeds going towards sending they boys to camp, buying and replacing needed equipment and funding awards given to the Scouts throughout the year. Candle Lighting Memorial Service
The Helping Hands and Caring Hearts, a non- profit organization, is sponsoring a candle lighting memorial sercice in honor of the families of Thee Hospice and community friends on Saturday, Dec. 11 at 4 p.m. The service will be held at Wesley Memorial Church on 700 Hwy. 30 E. All public is welcome to the service.
Holiday Shopping Bash
The first Huntsville Holiday Shopping Bash will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites ,148 Interstate 45 South in Huntsville. Local vendors will include Scentsy, Homemade Gourmet, Pampered Chef, Triple S Sheets, Miche Bags, Silpada jewelry, MaryKay Cosmetics and Jujubelle jewelry.
