Hebert wins The Huntsville Item bracket tournament challenge

HUNTSVILLE — Congratulations to Michelle Hebert, winner of The Huntsville Item’s March Madness Bracket Challenge.

Hebert was the only one out of eight participants to correctly place a team in the championship game, No. 8 seed Kentucky.

The Wildcats were defeated by Connecticut on Monday night in the championship game, but Hebert scored a tournament challenge high of 102 points, correctly picking three of the Final Four participants; Florida, Wisconsin and Kentucky.

Hebert had Michigan State in the Final Four over the Huskies, but the Spartans were a popular pick among television analysts leading up to the tournament.

Hebert also correctly picked Stephen F. Austin to beat VCU in the second round and Stanford over Kansas in the third round.

Finishing with 102 points and winning our contest by 20, Michelle wins eight tickets to any of the remaining Bearkat baseball games.
