Phillips-Nalle Wedding

Rachel Maurine Phillips and Lieutenant William Jordan Nalle, United States Marine Corps., were united in marriage Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at four o'clock in the afternoon at Saint David's Episcopal Church in Austin, with the Reverend David Boyd officiating.

The bride is the daughter of the Reverend and Mrs. Jerry Phillips of Huntsville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Edward Nobles of Kirbyville and Mrs. Nelwyn Phillips of Baytown and the late Mr. Bobby M. Phillips. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Byrd Nalle of Austin. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bomar of Austin and the late Mr. and Mrs. George S. Nalle, Jr.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant MoriLee ivory gown of beaded lace and satin which fell into a chapel length train. She carried Ultimate Blush pink roses delicately hand tied with ivory ribbon. For something old she wore pearls which had been worn by the groom's paternal grandmother and handcrafted by the groom's paternal grandfather. Her honor attendants wore blush pink tea length silk dresses and carried fresh bouquets of daisies.

Music was provided by organist Mrs. Jean Fuller and trumpeters Dr. Robert Cannon and Mr. Tim Shaffer. Scripture readings were given by Mrs. Jack McAfee of Houston, Dr. William Edgington of Huntsville, and Mr. John Horton of Austin. The Prayers of the People were recited by Mr. and Mrs. Brian Boyd of Waco.
