Floyd Glenn

HUNTSVILLE — Floyd Glenn passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011, in Huntsville, at the age of 92 years old. He was born on April 25, 1918, in Corsicana, to Charlie and Hattie Glenn.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Rosetta.

He leaves precious memories with his loved ones which include his children: Barbara Jean Johnson, Marine Davis Jr., Lucille Smith and husband Jessie, Gloria Sabal, Clovis Glenn and wife Christene, Fonda Erwing, Winston Glenn and Patra Hayes; 17 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; devoted granddaughter, Kirby Butler; three great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Norris Crooks and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Floyd will be on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Bowen Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Trinity Community Cemetery in Trinity. Pastor Samuel Dominique Jr. will officiate. Viewing was held on Friday, April 29, at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel.

    Betty Charlene Wooderson, 83, of Huntsville, Texas, passed away July 28, 2014. She was born September 9, 1930, in Franklin, Texas to Ralph Tribble and Idella Johnson Tribble.
    Betty is survived by her daughters Gail Lloyd and Mona Lamb and husband Rick; grandchildren Courtney Helton and husband Mark, James Lloyd, Reed Lamb and girlfriend SaraBeth Ellisor, Greg Landry and wife Pamela, and Cara Wilcox and husband Andy; great-grandchildren Wyatt Helton, Samantha Landry, Gregory Landry, Aidin “Nola” Landry, Olivia Keefer and Christopher Wilcox; sisters Linda, Barbara and Odell. She is preceded in death by her husband Waymon Wooderson; parents Ralph and Idella Tribble.
    Betty loved her grand and great-grandchildren most in life. She has left many cherished memories of family events over the years. She loved to be out visiting with friends. And football season she would call to check in and see what time the Dallas Cowboys were playing and had a love for the local Sam Houston State University football team. In her down time she liked to read and sew. Betty retired from TDCJ after many years of service.
    The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 30, 2014, from 12:00 PM (Noon) till 2:00 PM with service to follow visitation at 2:00 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Interment will follow the service at Adickes Addition of Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.

    Charles Darwin Sewell passed away on July 18th, 2014 at the age of 78. He is survived by his four daughters: Lisa, Patra, Pamela, and Sandra; their husbands, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be a graveside service held at Bowden Cemetery on Crow Mountain, Russellville, Arkansas, on August 8th, 2014 at 1:30 pm.
