Arlie Cromwell Ellisor

HUNTSVILLE — Arlie Cromwell Ellisor, 80, of Huntsville, Texas passed away June 1, 2014. He was born on December 15, 1933 in Walker County, Texas.

Arlie is survived by his adored wife of 18 years, Angie Ellisor; daughters, Mary Ellisor Drost, Tina Ellisor, and Shae Baker; son, Eric Maxwell; grandsons, Michael Drost II, Matthew Drost, Marcus Drost, Tyler Baker and Tanner Maxwell; granddaughters, Taylor Baker, Shelby Morgan and Elizabeth Maxwell; great-grandsons, Mickey Drost and Liam Drost; great-granddaughter Isobel Drost; brothers, E.L. Ellisor, Alton Ellisor and Joe Ellisor; and numerous family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Clayton Ellisor and Sara Ellisor; and first wife, Maxine Ellisor.

Upon Arlie’s graduation in 1951 he became a Tug Boat Captain and later operated River Boats. In 1961 he joined Conroe Reserve Police Force where he dedicated himself to continuing education courses and training to further his career as a Police Officer with Conroe Police Department until he became Police Chief, for which he lead the department for 8 years of his 29 years. His interest were hunting and fishing. Arlie was a member of Pine Valley Baptist Church in San Jacinto County.

Arlie Cromwell Ellisor will lie in state Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas.  Services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen, Texas. Conroe Police Department will be providing full Honors.
