HUNTSVILLE — Steven Louis Carr Sr., 46, of Walker County passed away Feb. 19, 2010, in Hutsville. He was born Jan. 2, 1964, in Gary, Ind.

Viewing will be held today from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Williams and Sons Funeral Home. A wake service will held this evening from 6-8 p.m. at Greater Zion M.B. Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Greater Zion M.B. Church with the Rev. Michael C. Davis Sr. presiding. Burial will follow in the Northside Cemetery.

Carr a correctional officer for TDCJ-ID was a member of Greater Zion M.B. Church.

Carr, a Lance Corporal in the United States Marines Corps, is survived by his wife, Sandra Carr of Huntsville; four sons, Steven Carr Jr of Yokosukn, Japan, Chadwick Carr of New Waverly, David Scott of Huntsville, and Desmond Parker of Conroe; two daughters, Cheyenne Pitts of Phoenix, Ariz., and Akolsha Carr of Huntsville; 10 brothers, Mark Carr, Harry Carr, DeJuan Carr and Gregory Carr, all of Gary, Ind., Michael Carr, Paul Carr and Victor Carr, all of Minneapolis, Minn., William Carr of Duluth, Minn., Darryl Carr of Memphis, Tenn., and Kevin Carr of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Veronica Mabone of Minneapolis,Minn., Joyce Carr of Gary, Ind. and Betty Brwon of Ontario, Calif.; one granddaughter, Ryann D. Carr of Dallas; father-in-law, Marcus Parker Jr. of Grapeland; mother-in-law, Minister Mary F. Richardson of Huntsville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
