Kenneth Ray Johnson

HUNTSVILLE — Kenneth Ray Johnson Sr., a longtime resident of Huntsville and retired correctional officer from the Huntsville (Walls) Unit for over 30 years, passed away suddenly on Feb. 14, 2010, in Huntsville. He was 54 years old.  

He worked for the Walls Unit in Huntsville for 30 years. His hobbies included: fishing, welding, working on late model trucks, watching sports and landscaping. He is survived by three sons, Tyrone Leigh of Beaumont, Toby Leigh and his wife Rebekah of Katy, and Kenneth Johnson Jr. of Dallas; four sisters, Brenda K. Johnson, Mary Harrison, Dorris Rolling and Suzanne Terry; two brothers, Abe Johnson Jr. and Ernest Johnson; various nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving family and friends on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, from 3-5 p.m. at Brooke Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at the Brooke Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Brooke Cemetery.
