Jerri Collum Brown

Jerri Collum Brown was born June 22, 1935, in Sylacauga, Ala., and went to be with the Lord on Oct. 7, 2008. She retired as a school teacher after 25 years of service from Cleveland, Texas, ISD.

Services will be held on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Cook Springs Baptist Church in Crabbs Prairie with the Rev. Marvin Sartain officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Burial will be at Brooke Cemetery on Highway 980 in Huntsville.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brandi Lynn Brown; and great-grandson, Ethan Paul Baum.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Claude Stewart Brown; daughter, Gerri Amanda Broughton and husband James; sons, Claude Stewart Brown Jr. and wife Tamara, and Joseph Gregory Brown and wife Jamie; sister, Janice Collum Murphree and husband Edward; brothers, James Collum and wife Nanette, and Derwood Collum and wife Nancy; grandchildren, David Baum, Carissa Faye Cornel, Tiffany McKee, Alicia Brown, Chelsie Brown, and Holly Brown; and four great-grandchildren.
