Jerry Leon Walker

Jerry Leon Walker, 70, known to most everyone as J.W., passed away at his home in Trinity, Texas. He was born March 31, 1938, in Altamont, Kan.

J.W. is survived by his sisters, Edith Walker Gage, Judy Walker Wilson; brother, Fred Walker and wife Freda; five children, Gina Lee Walker Galloway, Jo Lynn Walker, Julie Walker Beard and husband Bryan, Aaron Leon Walker, and Jerry Michael Walker and wife April; 11 grandchildren, Michael Aaron Gill, Ashley McMullen and husband Matt, Lisa Galloway, Bradley Langston and wife Sarah, Matt Galloway and wife Lindsey, Kara Hyer and husband Trevor, Jennifer Langston, Brooke Walker, Grant Walker, and Taylor and Samantha Walker; and three great-grandchildren, Natalie McMullen, Bryan Langston and Tristen.

A memorial service to celebrate J.W.’s life will be held Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at 10 a.m. in the Brooke Funeral Home Chapel on FM 980 in Huntsville, and a gathering of family and friends will follow at Barbara’s Bar on FM 356 in Trinity, Texas.
