William Jackson Bius

William Jackson Bius, the beloved son of Ben and Janet Bius went to be with the Lord on Aug. 17, 2008.

William and his brother, Thomas Daniel Bius, were very close and shared a deep affection for each other and their family. William came into this world and was baptized on April 3, 1989. He was a sweet and loving child who dearly loved his home and family.

William was enrolled at Sam Houston State University and was looking forward to his future as a businessman, like his father. William was a Christian and a confirmed member of Faith Lutheran Church. He graduated Huntsville High School in 2007.

William is survived by his father, Ben Bius; mother, Janet Bius; brother, Thomas Daniel Bius; grandfather, Tom Bius and his wife Susana; grandmother, Mary Borgfeld; uncles, Tom Bius Jr., and David Wesley Horton and his wife Brenda; aunts, Carol Bius, Mary Owens, and Diane Holmgren and husband Brian; and 11 beloved cousins. William loved much and many and was loved much by many.

William had a great and varied life. William was a hard worker and was proud to be working in the family business. He was very fond of his co-worker David Rivas a loyal and trusted friend of the family. Last year William went on a mission trip into the Copper Canyon of Mexico. He helped build a home for the pastor in a very remote village. There he exhibited great leadership and humanitarian skills. He was an accomplished horseman, hunter and loved football and basketball. He enjoyed golf with his father, grandfather, friends and was a member of the Huntsville High School golf team. William had met presidents, senators, governors and many people of distinction. William had a great and varied life. William’s humor, bright smile and genuine love will be missed by all who knew him.

William could not understand and was deeply hurt by the sin in the world. He was a Christian and knew that the Lord Jesus Christ was our savior and only hope. William greatly underestimated the evil that exists all around us. While the evil one took his life the Lord has conquered sin and death and William Jackson Bius is now surely with the Lord, Jesus Christ, where he has found eternal peace.

Services will be held Friday Aug. 22, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church with interment to follow at Mayes Addition of Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday Aug. 21, 2008, at the funeral home.

Those wishing to leave memorial condolences for the family may do so at www.shmfh.com.
