Dwyan Autry Taylor Sr.

— The Rev. Dwyan Autry Taylor Sr., 54, of Huntsville passed away Aug. 2, 2008, in Harris County.
He was born December 19, 1953 in Walker County.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie R. Tubbs Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Pat Henry Cemetery in Dodge.
Charlie Massey, Gary O’Bryant, Billy Tatum, William Robinson, Larry Robinson, Jimmy Davidson and Norris Davis will serve as pallbearers.
The proud pastor of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church of Dodge, was a HHS Class of 1973 graduate. He was employed with HISD Mainteance Department for the past 17 years. Rev. Taylor was a kind, humble man and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Priscilla Taylor; five sons, David E. Taylor, Dwyan “T.J.” A. Taylor Jr., Derrick L. Taylor, Reginald “Reggie” D. Taylor, and Joshua M. Taylor, all of Huntsville; three sisters, Lee G. Spencer of Houston, Gussie Daniel of Dodge and Wyona Willis of Conroe; one uncle, Nehemiah Robinson of Huntsville; two aunts, Jean Robinson of Huntsville and Virginia Robinson of Riverside; one grandson, K’Yan Taylor; three granddaughters, Dannika Taylor, Aralynn Taylor and Ty’tionna Taylor, all of Huntsville; the St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church Family; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
