— Opal Clark Monroe, age 73, of Huntsville, Texas, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church, Huntsville, Texas, with the Rev. Ken Jack officiating. Burial will follow the service at Black Jack Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Sam Houston Funeral Home.
Mrs. Monroe was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Esma Clark; her husband, J.A. Monroe; and her daughter, Debbie Monroe Paulsel.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter and husband, DeAnn Monroe Steely and Kelvin Steely; son and wife, Scott and Rhonda Monroe; son and wife, Don and Deborah Monroe; grandchildren: Ashley Steely, Christopher Monroe, Evan Paulsel, Amy Monroe Whitmire, Zachary Steely, D.J. Monroe, Amber Monroe, Jake Monroe, John “Scooter” Paulsel, Jennifer Rist Smith and husband, Justin Smith, and Janey Rist; great-grandson, Kai Daniel Monroe; seven sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call at Sam Houston Funeral Home on Saturday, May 17, 2008, from 5-7 p.m.
