Earl Carlton Kraner

— Earl Carlton Kraner was born Oct. 9, 1912, in Marion, Ohio, to Spot and Pat Kraner and passed away May 13, 2008, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 95.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Marie Hanson; daughter and husband, Sandy and Jim Hall; son and wife, Stephen and Sally Allison; son and wife, David and Kim Allison; stepson and wife, Kenneth and Jimmie Doris McLeland; stepson and wife, Donald and Sandy McLeland; stepdaughters, Vivian Leaton and Helen Herd; 29 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Mr. Kraner was employed by Whittle Construction Co. as a master mechanic for 28 years. His favorite pastimes were fishing, boating and projects up to the end. He was a very loving father. He was kind and generous and never met a stranger.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home.
