Abbie Frizzell Jr. went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the age of 54 years and nine months.
Abbie Jr. was born on Aug. 13, 1953, in Houston, Texas, to Abbie and JoAnn Frizzell. He was a graduate of Huntsville High School. He worked for Sam Houston State University at the Physical Plant. He worked for TDCJ at the Goree Unit as a correctional officer. He won the Firearm Award from his TDC Training Class No. 314, and he was involved in competitive firearms matches. He worked as a welder at Wingate’s Muffler Shop for many years. Later he was self-employed as a welder until his health declined and he retired.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and there was nothing he loved more than being out in the country hunting or on the lake fishing. He loved the outdoors and fishing and hunting. He spent many hours working on metal art, which was his favorite hobby.
Abbie Jr. is survived by loving companion, Kay Frizzell and stepson, Les Crownover of Spring; his daughter, Kristen of Kerrville; his parents, Abbie Sr. and Jo Ann Frizzell of Huntsville; his three siblings, W.J.
