Funeral services will be held Monday for a Huntsville native and his wife who died last Thursday when their small plane crashed near Fredericksburg.
Donald Frosch, 44, the son of Wayne and Fern Frosch of Huntsville, and his 41-year-old wife, Jeanne Frosch, reportedly were on their way to spend the weekend in Fredericksburg when their single-engine Cessna 182 crashed on Hollmig Lane about two miles east of Gillespie County Airport, southwest of the city. Authorities have not yet released any information about the cause of the crash.
Donald Frosch was a 1987 graduate of Huntsville High School and the couple were graduates of Sam Houston State University.
Jeanne Frosch’s brother, Jason Streit of Vernon, told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that the couple's 8-year-old daughter was in the care of Jeanne Frosch’s mother.
Lynn Lunsford, spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration in Fort Worth, told the newspaper the Cessna took off at Spinks Airport in far south Fort Worth.
Funeral services for Donald and Jeanne Frosch will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 13, at Faith Lutheran Church in Huntsville. Burial will follow in the Mayes Addition of Oakwood Cemetery. Services will be conducted in the couple's hometown of Mansfield, Texas, on Sunday.
