The youth program at First United Methodist Church will sell pumpkins of all shapes, colors and sizes through the month of October to raise money. The pumpkin patch will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the church on Sam Houston Avenue and 11th Street. Pumpkins prices depend on the size, starting at 50 cents. Carlo Sosa, director of youth, said this is the fourth year for the church to sell pumpkins. He said the money benefits the youth program, which takes trips to other parts of the country to give the children new experiences. For more information, contact the church at (936) 295-5441.
