Fisher’s Auction Services invites Huntsville residents to park their hot rods, motorcyles and other classic cars for a free show and shop community event — the first annual Classic Car Show and Auction.
The event is scheduled May 24-25 with a car show on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m., followed by an auction on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Scott Fisher said he is looking forward to a good crowd.
“We’re expecting a big turnout on Saturday,” he said. “It’s a free show and auction that’s open to the community. Anyone can bring their classic cars to the parking lot of our auction facility (located at 1097 Hwy 190 E). KSTAR will be braodcasting live for a couple of hours on Saturday, so it’s a nationally advertised show.
“It’s going to be a fun, family event.”
The car show and auction, Fisher said, is sponsored by Fisher’s Auction Services, KSTAR, Reliable Autoparts and American Classic Cars in Conroe.
The auction will feature from 35-50 cars from around the area and even out of the state.
“A 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 and also a quarter-mile drag boat will be included in the muscle car and classic car auction,” he said. “They are pretty impressive.”
Fisher said the idea for a car show event was not a tough decision to make.
“We all have an interest in cars and car shows are really fun,” he said. “And a free show and shop event — how can you beat that?”
Fisher’s Auction Services is now accepting muscle, rat rods, projects and classic cars at zero percent commission for this auction.
