More than 300 quilts will hang on the grounds of the Walker County Courthouse and around the square during the Airing of the Quilts on Saturday. Members of the Tall Pines Quilt Guild began checking in quilts Saturday at the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission office on Sam Houston Avenue. Check-in continues Tuesday and Thursday. From left are Patsy Adams, Anne Barker, Margaret Kessler and Virginia Cooper. The event will take place “rain or shine.”
