Elvis tribute artist to perform March 15

Jesse Aron is bringing the voice of Elvis back to Huntsville with his Voice of Elvis & Legends Texas Tour March 15.

The concert will be held at the Old Town Theater at 3 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for downstairs seating and $10 for the balcony.

Aron, a well-known tribute artist from Wisconsin, said the audience can expect to hear Elvis's greatest hits and the majority of his mainstream songs. Aron will also be performing some of Roy Orbison's songs.

"[The audience] will probably never see a wider variety of music at any other Elvis tribute show," he said. "We try to keep them entertained the enire time."

According to Steve Fountain, who acts as Aron's manager in the Texas area, this will be Aron’s third concert in Huntsville.

He performed at the Old Town Theatre for the first time in 2004 on the advice of Fountain’s father.

Aron said the theater provides the perfect setting for the show because it resembles what a 1950s concert would have looked like.

“I love that about [that theater],” he said.

Aron has been performing as an Elvis tribute artist for approximately 11 years.

Aron said he was exposed to Elvis at a young age: his mother and father were in a band that covered Elvis songs.

"It was something played in my house all the time," he said.

Aron said Elvis’s music is timeless — people of all ages attend his concerts.

“The demographic used to be 50 and over, but in the last two or three years, it’s been mixed ground,” he said. “It’s very family oriented.

“I think that there will always be a need or want for [his music]. You will not see anything as original as that again.”

Aron’s wife, Tarie, is also a tribute artist. Aron said she performs as Marilyn Monroe and Patsy Cline.
