Waldron-Mahaffey Wedding
Miss. Lisa Dianne Waldron and Mr. Luke Christopher Mahaffey were joined in marriage at eleven o’clock in the morning on March 1, 2008, at the Old Red Courthouse in Dallas, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Minister Bob Payne, of the Huntsville Church of Christ.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Waldron, of Huntsville. She is the granddaughter of Dr. Bill Waldron and the late Mrs. Betty Waldron and Mr. Willard Arnold and the late Mrs. Masae Arnold, all of Huntsville, Texas.
The parents of the groom are Mrs. Jody Mahaffey, of Lewisville, Texas and Dr. Karl Mahaffey, of Huntsville, Texas. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Miller, of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Judd Mahaffey and the late Mr. Robert Mahaffey, of The Woodlands, Texas.
The bride wore a strapless, silk, trumpet gown by Elizabeth FIlmore. To compliment her gown the bride wore a short veil that slightly covered the face, ending before her shoulders. She carried a bridal bouquet of white peonies, white hydrangeas, white tulips, green viburnam, and varigated hosta leaf.
Miss Morgan Flowers, best friend of the bride, of Dallas, Texas, served as the maid of honor. Her bridesmaids were Mrs. Laura Massie of Dallas, Texas; Miss Lindsey Mahaffey of Dallas, Texas, sister of the groom; Mrs. Kinsie Tate of Oklahoma City, Okla., sister of the groom; and Miss Marjon Zabihi of Dallas, Texas. Her Junior Bridesmaid was Sarah Waldron, cousin of the bride, of Bastrop, Texas. Her attendants wore navy blue tunics from Anthropologie and carried bouquets of lotus pods, green cymbidiums, green roses, white tulips, green viburnam, varigated hosta leafs. Her three flower girls were Miss Megan Waldron of Bastrop, Texas; Miss Leah Waldron of Bastrop, Texas; and Miss Morgan Cole of Huntsville, all cousins of the bride.
Mr. Mat Mahaffey of Dallas, Texas, the brother of the groom, served as the Best Man. Serving as groomsmen were Mr. Matthew Keathley of Houston, Mr. Tommy Waldron of Houston, Texas, brother of the bride; Mr. Kendall Cason of Dallas and Mr. Kirby Cason of Huntsville.
The ceremony music was provided by, pianist and soloist Leslie Blum, and featured “The More I Seek You,” “How Great the Fathers Love for Us,” “Wonderful, Merciful, Savior,” and “Breath.”
The bride’s parents hosted a reception following the ceremony at the Old Red Courthouse.
Lisa is a 2000 graduate of Huntsville High School and a 2004 graduate of Abilene Christian University, where she earned Bachelors of Science Degrees in Marketing and in Management. Luke is a 2001 graduate of Huntsville High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance.
Lisa and Luke honeymooned in Hawaii on the island of Maui. They are at home in Dallas, Texas where Lisa works as the Director of Marketing for Demattei Wong Architecture and Luke is a Senior Manager in Finance at Broadlane, Inc.
