The New Waverly Bulldogs celebrate after defeating White Oak 2-0 last Thursday at Morris Frank Park in Lufkin in the first game of a best-of-three Class 2A Region III semifinal series. Although the Bulldogs didn’t advance to the region finals, it’s hard to think that they can’t make another playoff run next season with a little more experience under their belts.
